“FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE”
Statement
This work is a tangible exploration of human fragility, embodied in the form of a chair. Handwoven with white threads, it transcends its utilitarian function to become a symbol of the delicacy and care required not only by objects, but also by human relationships.

The words “FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE”, hand-stitched in red, serve as a persistent reminder of our inherent vulnerability and of the need to treat ourselves —just as we treat what we consider precious— with sensitivity and respect.
The contrast between the solidity of the wood and the softness of the weaving evokes the duality within us: the external strength and the inner fragility that define our human condition. Like the objects we use every day, we too carry the marks of time and environment on our bodies and souls.
This chair invites us to be present before it with reverence. In it, beauty emerges from what is fragile, cared for, and handmade. Through this piece, I seek to reframe fragility not as a weakness, but as a quality that unites us and reminds us of our shared humanity.
